There is no arguing that social media has revolutionized the way that we communicate with one another; it allows us to stay in touch with long-distance friends and it’s a cost-effective mode of marketing and outreach.
mPRNT was created to act as an intervention, to help remind us that while a text message to a friend might be a convenient method of communication, a handwritten letter can carry a much greater sentiment.
For this initiative, fifty postcards were designed to fit into five relationship types which have been assigned a color and an icon. These groupings were constructed to urge the user to evaluate how their important relationships fit into their life.
The hope is that when you see a postcard design or read the categories, a list of meaningful people will pop into your mind. You are then urged to take a postcard with you and to think of those relationships. When you feel ready, write a message on the postcard and send it off or give it to them in person.
Don’t wait until it’s too late. Spread the love, nurture those relationships, and let your loved ones know that they have left an mPRNT on your life.
